ASTM B167 UNS N06601 Inconel 601 Nickel Alloy Seamless Tubes For Resistance Of High Temperature And Oxidation

The chemical composition of this nickel steel alloy is designed to provide excellent resistance to many corrosive environments. Inconel 601 is a standard engineering material with excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Inconel 601 also has high strength and good workability, excellent metallurgical stability and high resistance to carburization. Inconel 601 is hardened and strengthened through a cold working process.

Inconel601 sheet thickness ranges from 0.010 to 0.120″. Inconel 601 reels are available in lighter specifications, up to 24″ wide. Inconel 601 steel plates can be up to 2″ thick.
Inconel 601 bars can be made into forged bars with a diameter of up to 3″, and larger sizes and shapes can be forged upon order.
Inconel 601 seamless tube can provide up to 4″ NB. Larger size welding structure (100% X-ray) is available, and can also be manufactured to order. Inconel 601 tube is not common, but can be produced to order. Re-drawn tube and strict Tolerance pipes can be provided in almost any size, no matter how small the size or quantity.
2.It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify all requirements that are necessary for the safe and satisfactory performance of material ordered under this specification. Examples of such requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

9 Samples for Product (Check) Analysis—Whether
samples for product (check) analysis should be furnished,
10 Purchaser Inspection—If the purchaser wishes to witness tests or inspection of material at the place of manufacture, the purchase order must so state indicating which tests or inspections are to be witnessed.
