This British Standard is the UK implementation of EN 10253-4:2008. It
partially supersedes BS 1640-2:1962 and BS 1640-4:1968, which will be
withdrawn upon publication of BS EN 10253-3.
The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee
ISE/19, Pipe fittings (other than cast iron).
A list of organizations represented on this committee can be obtained on
request to its secretary.
