90° Short Radius 1D Elbow introduction

ANSI/ASME B16.9 Short Radius 90° Elbow is inserted between two lengths of pipe (or pipe) to allow for a change of direction at the 90° edge. A short radius 90° elbow is most commonly attached to plastic, copper, cast iron, steel, lead and can also be attached to rubber bands with stainless steel clips. The bend radius of ANSI/ASME B16.9 90° Short Radius Elbow (LR) is 1.0 times the pipe width. The short radius elbows are used where there is a lack of space. ANSI/ASME B16.9 Short radius 90° elbows provide more fluid impermeability and weight loss than long radius elbows.
